I am an undergraduate civil engineer. I have participated in a bridge competition and took part in the 2024 PSWS competition. I have developed an interest in civil engineering, such as creating bridges, roads, industry buildings, and railroads. My experience with concrete canoes has driven my interest in concrete mixtures. I've developed skills in using Excel, Microstation, AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.For the Bridge Competition, my team of 4 has placed 2nd out of 6. We had a 2-3 point difference from the winning team. Later on, we found out that the difference was by a decimal. I am the inventory lead for the Canoe team and a supporting member for the rower and mix design team. I'm in charge of keeping track of the team's work hours, our supplies, purchasing materials and managing our budget. I have tested and poured concrete during the fabrication of our canoe. Our canoe placed 8th out of 14, one of our college's highest placements.For a part-time job, I work as a cashier at Briscos, but I fill in other roles outside of being a cashier. Im a senior worker at Briscos', so I help train any new employees that join the company. I help our neighboring fast food restaurant, Fireside. Whenever Fireside needs assistance with shakes, fryers, cashier, or handing out orders, I can help. I have excelled in those roles where managers and coworkers could rely on me.
