Preston is currently an Inspections Leader with the PCAOB inspecting registered accounting firms. Preston has worked on inspections of large multi-national SEC registrants and has also acted as the inspection leader for inspections of smaller accounting firms. In addition to leading inspections, Preston has overseen remediation and QC procedures for multiple large firms.During his time with KPMG, Preston served clients in a variety of industries but focused primarily in the consumer markets, construction contracting, retail, and real estate lines of business. He managed engagements for public and non-public companies and has extensive experience relating to IFRS and US GAAP. Preston worked on debt offerings, an initial public offering, a restatement for a multi-billion dollar manufacturer, and a multi-billion dollar acquisition.Preston managed several complex audit engagements for clients in a variety of industries. Core strengths and accomplishments include:• Acted as the lead audit manager for a multi-billion dollar retailer, an SEC registrant, and a multi-billion dollar construction contractor, which is part of a global conglomerate that adheres to IFRS.• Managed and mentored staff and seniors with teams that typically range from five to twenty core team members.• Experienced in researching and concluding on technical issues under US GAAP and IFRS.Preston was a member of the firm’s Retail network and Real Estate network.
