Researching the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on public transit systems in the Inland Empire using data provided by 3 transit agencies and creating models that quantify equitable transit service. Initial analyses used data science packages with Python and GIS software.Research Paper accepted for presentation at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) International Conference on Transportation & Development (ICTD) 2022.

Researched and used the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol to allow communication between a custom-built coffee machine and a real-time web application that was built using Angular, Firebase, Node, and Express.

Assisted in teaching K-12 students at Title I schools about technology and computer systems. Led a classroom of 30 students and supported in teaching another 60 students in other classrooms. Classes involved building a PC while learning about the components of a computer; introducing deeper-level concepts of how computers work; and informing students about career paths in STEM.

Designed and managed the event flow of the first ever Hackathon at San Diego Mesa College. Secured sponsors and speakers to feed both food and knowledge to over 100 attendees.

Founded the first Computer Science Club on the San Diego Mesa College campus. I worked with a strong team of club officers to host tech-related workshops in which students can gain extra insight in programming languages, app development, and career development strategies.

Earned the rank of Eagle Scout after 6 years of gaining knowledge and experience in leadership, team dynamics, and human values. The final step was to plan, prepare, and execute a project that directly benefits the community. My project served the purpose of providing botanical support by planting shrubs on numerous hillsides in Mission Trails Regional Park. This required thorough planning, research, and management.
