I possess 25 years of progressive experience in the construction industry with a focus on masonry and concrete work. I starting as a mason tender in high school to pay for wrestling camps and moved into my apprenticeship period with the same company. I struck out on my own at the age of 23 as the owner of my own masonry company. I eventually shut shut my business down to pursue a career as an estimator for a union masonry company. As my 3 children graduated high school and were accepted to PSU, I decided to was only fitting to apply for the current position I hold now in the Office Of Physical Plant for PSU. The focus in my current position is on the preventative/corrective maintenance of the universities hardscapes, walkways, site walls and drivable surfaces. I currently am a member of the Roads/Parking Lot preservation committee, OPP safety committee and am spearheading an ADA crosswalk ramp assessment project for a portion of the universities 695 ADA crosswalk ramps.
