In my first several semesters as a Psychology major, I realized I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in a clinical setting, but I was unsure what other options I had. Since then I've found a passion for research that combines psychological and neuroscientific points of view, and therefore added a statistics minor alongside a neuroscience and chemistry cluster to strive for in my degree.During my time at BYU-I, I have continually grown in my ability to, not only learn and teach these topics but, also to unfold these ideas in my mind such that I arrive upon questions without fully elucidated answers (primarily those regarding consciousness). It is in this place of mind that I fully enjoy pondering and puzzling as I attempt to grapple with and hypothesize different possibilities.In the future, I hope to be in a position where I cannot only further my learning in these fields of interest but also take residence in the community continually endeavoring to further our scientific knowledge.During my free time, I enjoy physical activities like rock climbing and weight lifting. If instead, I want something less rigorous I'll enjoy going on a walk while listening to the sounds of life. No matter how busy things are, I'll never be too busy, or too far above the prospect of something like watching the sunset or admiring, in awe, the color of flowers in bloom.
