As an Associate Software Engineer, my role centered on developing and optimizing scalable REST APIs capable of efficiently handling daily traffic volumes in the hundreds of thousands. My contributions were focused on improving product owner and stakeholder awareness by developing APIs that automate the metric generation of our production data and traffic. This automation work resulted in a 60.9% performance improvement compared to script execution in the MongoDB shell. Additionally, I streamlined the copy process of production data to an archive database, leading to a 700% increase in records copied within a 15-minute interval. In line with my responsibilities, I assisted in the design and implementation of a Single-Page Application using AngularJS, empowering product owners with real-time access to production data and enabling edits without the need for a scheduled release.
