About Preston Daoust
In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to intern with Crowe in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a member of its manufacturing and distribution tax team. Throughout the experience, I was assigned to multiple client engagements. As someone who values cooperation and teamwork, I appreciated the opportunity to regularly collaborate with my colleagues on these engagements. Not only did working closely with them improve my analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles, but it also allowed me to observe the responsibilities of the different positions within the office. Over time, I realized both managers and partners must maintain continuous contact with their clients. Since I desire this level of interaction in my upcoming professional career, I have decided to pursue my CPA license. Thus, I have enrolled in the MSADA program at the Kelley School of Business to ensure I am eligible to take the CPA exam immediately after graduation. In addition to ensuring my eligibility for the exam, MSADA will continue to expand my knowledge of data analytics, which is important considering the digital transformations of many businesses today. As a result, I believe the program will set me up for success in my first few years in the workforce.
