My name is Preston Cook. I will graduate from the University of Kansas in December of 2027 with a degree in Finance and Accounting. I decided to study finance and accounting because I was interested in how to best use and save money efficiently and effectively, and I want to understand it fully to be able to help people to make well-informed decisions regarding how they use their money.When I’m not at school, I’ve worked at a grocery store for more than 3 years and I have become an employee that my managers, fellow employees, and customers look forward to seeing and trust to solve problems. In this role, I’ve sharpened my skills in customer service, problem-solving, and efficiency within the workplace. I usually have to find answers to customers' questions, keep the workplace clean and welcoming, and make sure I’m always actively helping the store and its customers. It makes me happy to support my fellow employees and to serve our customers with the utmost care and efficiency. With my special academic background, my past work experience, and my love for helping people with their finances make me perfect for a career in financial advising. I can’t wait to work with a variety of clients to provide answers to their questions and give advice to increase the effectiveness of how they use their money.
