Researched, implemented, and presented a number of projects relating to infrastructure process, SharePoint (including development of Web Parts and document migration), Windows Server, and Active Directory projects with an emphasis on C#/.NET development.In the short three months of my summer internship, I was able to learn all about SharePoint development and Active Directory to deliver a Web Part that fit the needs of the business. As a result of my success, I was asked to work remotely while finishing my senior year at Missouri State. During that time, I shared my knowledge of SharePoint with a fellow intern while we co-developed another project. I also had the opportunity to practice some C# and PowerShell scripting, as well as dive into Windows Server.

Worked on several projects using Microsoft products in a C#/.NET environment, including SharePoint sites, InfoPath forms, scripting, and MVC web applications.After being asked to return to AECI, I welcomed the opportunity and rejoined the development staff as an intern supporting Power Production. I was able to work on several different projects, including some that utilized my new knowledge about SharePoint. I designed InfoPath forms and created scripts to migrate data from a data warehouse into the new SharePoint environment. I also started designing and developing a C# MVC web application to support a GIS endeavor. Working with my colleagues and mentors at AECI, I was introduced to main-stream development practices such as unit testing, mocking frameworks, data warehousing, and Agile.

Worked on several projects utilizing industry standard products, including Microsoft products in a C#/.NET environment, SSIS ETL programs, SSRS reporting (including extracts from Team Foundation Server), and CSS/HTML.For this beginning phase of my internship at AECI, I worked directly with HR users and administrators to design and implement a workflow process to optimize (OCR), upload, and categorize sensitive HR documents. This project allowed HR administrators to reduce the total number of physical documents stored for archival purposes and increased the overall availability and usefulness of the document archive. At the later half of this internship, I took on a project that included a redesign of an employee-facing website that allowed employees to better understand and access benefits information. This project allowed me the opportunity to learn about web Content Management Systems (such as Telerik CMS), CSS, HTML, responsive design, etc.
