I have been teaching within the frameworks of the IB Program for 17 years now (have taught all of the curriculum changes since the program's inception at our school, from English A2, through English A1, then English A: Literature, and now English A: Language and Literature). As a former IB student, I am honored to have been given the opportunity to be an IB English teacher, thereby offering diverse perspectives in the IB classroom. I cherish the IB experience from my high-school days and have managed to successfully incorporate it in the IB English classroom. I had an excellent IB instructor back then and still keep my Learner Portfolio, which I sometimes employ as an excellent tool that adds a more creative approach in the IB English classroom. I nurture the IB Learner Profile traits: balanced, inquisitive, open-minded, caring.All in all, I have taught English and Literature for almost 30 years now. I consider my ATLs highly authentic and innovative, which my students can attest to, as there are many written assignments which have left an indelible mark.I did a dual major in both English and French Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje. I also completed my MA at the same University along the notes of "creativity in ecriture feminine and quilting and braiding as textual metaphors in Toni Morrison's, Kate Moses', and Olivera Kjorveziroska's works" which motivated me to divide my text into two sections "right and left needle" whereby I was knitting the text the same way Kjorveziroska does in her "Knitted Stories". After I defended my thesis, I learned how to crochet on YouTube and to this day everything I produce has a symbolic touch to it, as it's tightly interwoven with the passion of my life, literature. For example, my next project is learning how to make the African flower stitch as a symbolic representation of Waris Dirie's struggles in "Desert Flower." This adds to my creativity in the classroom, as it opens multitudinous patterns of viewing the topics discussed within the program and motivates students to identify varied perspectives.In college I took one year of intensive Arabic courses.
