I designed and built iPhone, Android & Blackberry mobile apps for the largest malls in South Africa. Malls and retailers had their secure ring-fenced backoffice self management portals. I made Augmented Reality Treasure Hunts, Christmas Wishlists, HD interactive 3D Mall Maps, Mallwide Gift Registers and Gift Vouchers. The public specifically loved the competitions and specials. Daily data integration between international product databases, South African National Retailers and the Top 20 Malls in South Africa. I was both IT Director (Systems Architect) and CEO for a team of developers, admin and sales.

Design, manage, enhance Mobile solutions on all platforms (iPhone Apps, Android Apps, Black Berry Apps and Mobi Sites) for the Vodacom Go110 project. Integrate data from most South African National Retailers and top Malls. Back Office systems and Support & Maintenance. Manage and co-operate with distributed development teams in Cape Town, Pretoria, Stellenbosch and Bangladesh.

Design and manage Banking Security Audit system, Short Term Insurance system in a joint venture with WesBank. Analyse and enhance Loan Application Systems. IT liaison with external & internal Banking IT auditors.

Data integration between head office and the 800+ branches and subsidiaries. Point of Sales systems and Automated Workforce Scheduling.

Fraud prevention systems for the Life Insurance Industry governing bodies. Prevention of fraud in the Life and Claims industry across all Life Offices (like Old Mutual, Sanlam, Metropolitan, Liberty, etc.)

Created systems to counter fraud within the life and claims industry in South Africa and Namibia. I managed the analysis and later also the account management for the systems.
