I lead the Agile Programme across the development teams (product owners, functional development and technical development) and work cross-functionally with a variety of other teams (product management, support, training, sales, operations and consulting). Portfolio Management:• Manage the SAFe portfolio for Caseware Africa’s portfolio, comprising of Financial Reporting, Audit & Assurance, Tax and Secretarial products.• Manage portfolio meetings and track execution against the strategy.• Collaborate with executives, product managers and product owners on product strategy, design and delivery.• Accountable for product development and program execution.Program Management:• Deliver business value through the execution of our enterprise strategy.• Create value for customers by working closely with the product teams on design and incremental value creation through product development iterations.• Plan our product roadmap through coordination and facilitation of our key program planning events, such as program management, program prioritisation, program increment (PI) planning and release management.• Launch products to the market through cross-functional coordination of the business as part of our operational readiness programme.• Provide coaching and guidance on program level quality practices, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.Development Teams:• I lead a team of 35 people, made up of Product Owners, Developers, Test Analysts and Scrum Masters.• Build efficiencies through continuous evaluation of work practices throughout the portfolio, program and teams to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies.• Develop and execute against the agile program plan.• Evaluate the status and resource utilization and implement changes to improve the team’s effectiveness.

As a Product Owner, I am the bridge between the business and the development team, working closely with the Product Managers to understand the vision and feature requirements for the product and to develop the necessary Agile oriented artefacts to ensure that these are met. This is a very collaborative, team-based role that requires a close working relationship with Product Managers, other Product Owners, Architects, Software Developers and Quality Assurance, contributing directly to ensuring that product features are elaborated into user stories that are developed, validated, and released in potentially shippable increments.• Be product and technology facing.
