• Data warehouse analysis and solution design: Devised data warehousing solutions in Hadoop platform for datasets of diverse format and scale, integrating ETL tools such as Informatica and platforms such as Teradata, Oracle DB in the ETL pipeline – with a view to save costs for the client by switching to a less expensive data platform. • Data migration and management: As part of the solution, led the data migration process of core tables (45+) from Teradata to Hadoop along with training of additional team members (2). Created data quality check plans and liaised with client for changes/improvements to the data warehouse.

• Building ETL pipelines & batch processing jobs: Created data load pipelines using custom load frameworks, load procedures in Teradata and batch jobs using AutoSys to load data from operational databases to warehouses – as required by the data science client team. • POCs and feasibility study: Investigated alternative solutions to the existing warehouse on Teradata platform and implemented a pilot project in Hadoop. Performed and presented proof-of-concept studies for tools such as Sqoop & Oozie in the Hadoop ecosystem.
