I was fortunate to be born into the unorthodox and particularly creative environment of Big Sur on the California coast in the 1960s. Much of this time was at the newly formed Esalen Institute* (where I would later study, work, and manage) as well as San Francisco and Berkeley in the 1960s. (I was dubbed "the first child of the 1960s" by San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner writer Don Lattin in his book "Following Our Bliss: How the Spiritual Ideals of the Sixties Shape Our Lives Today".) This provided an eclectic background as well as unique opportunities for which I am grateful. These have combined to give me more creative than usual problem solving perspectives and, I believe, an empathetic and effective way of working with people.*Esalen Institute, founded 1962, is a global village destination point for many scholars and seekers worldwide and widely recognized as the most influential center for the development of the human potential movement. Innovative leaders, theorists, authors in the fields of business, group dynamics, conflict resolution, group/individual consulting, medicine, body work, religion and the arts present their research & findings using interactive methods to staff and students. I was fortunate to work directly with many of these innovators and have been able to integrate the material into action while working and training at the Institute. This provided me with valuable experience, perspectives, and insights that I have applied to my work and life since.Specialties: Very good networking abilities - and developed actual network.Strong practical, real world, business and management experience.Well developed knowledge of the arts and history.Extensive experience dealing with archives and research.Willingness to take measured risks.Experience with and open to non-traditional solutions.
