Operations Manager, Margin
Current• Manage and coach a team of financial professionals in a collaborative environment • Safeguard firm from risk exposure and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements• Oversee process of enforcing trading restrictions on accounts due to trade settlement violations.• Enforce regulations and restrictions, review outstanding payments and securities, and evaluate various margin risk reports• Monitor and resolution of margin calls, debit balances, and short positions• Lead team to ensure firms’ margin processes are completed within established service levels and review work to ensure high level or quality • Build and develop high performing team by engaging associates, setting expectations, holding team accountable, and recognizing great work• Utilize leadership skills to provide direction and deliver results against firm and team goals • Supervise and manage risks for the firm through policy, process, and supervision• Responsible for Margin department disaster recovery and business continuity plan• Effect and lead operational and organizational change by actively seeking feedback, performing data analysis, and applying good business judgement • Participate in and lead projects as needed• Serve as a resource for ongoing support or escalations when called upon
