I have been working as Staff officer for EMRICC [East Midlands Regional Information and Co-ordination Centre], since January 2013. In April 2015 my role was seconded to Leicestershire Police in line with the regional mobilisation lead then, ACC Kay. I work between Leicestershire Police HQ & Wellingborough Police station in this regional role.This role assists with the planning and co-ordination of Public Order units & other police resources throughout the East Midlands and also working with NPoCC [National Police Co-ordination Centre] for national mutual aid deployments.Whilst working in EMRICC I was involved with deployments to PSNI for G8 & Op SOLENTINO, plus numerous protests, demonstrations & football matches within the region and nationally. EMRICC were also involved with the MA response to severe flood threat in Lincolnshire in December 2013. More recently I have assisted with regional deployments to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014, the NATO Summit in Gwent - Op ISMAY and the recent Royal Wedding & POTUS visit to the UK in 2018.The unit has also seen an increase in MA requests for specialist Ops & crime resources and as such we work closely with EMOpSS [East Midlands Operational Support Service] & EMSOU [East Midlands Special Operations Unit] Major Crime & CT. EMRICC was the 1st regional hub to set up a working protocol with a regional crime unit to assist in MA of these specialist resources.

I worked on numerous 'live' jobs as well as being involved in the Cathedral siege in Northampton in March 1996. Once I left the traffic department, I continued as an AFO on area until I had to give up my firearms authority due to hearing damage.
