Duties: analyzed quantitative and qualitative baseline data to characterize target user environments in terms of agro-ecological and socio-economic conditions and to better understand end-users’ needs and preferences; designed robust gender sensitive research tools and protocols for data collection; led, coordinated and implemented evaluations of new hybrid banana varieties in 5 project sites in Uganda and Tanzania; contributed to the development of concept notes and funding proposals; managed grants; supervised 2 MS students and 3 interns.
