My role was to support young adults with autism by actively prompting to ensure day to day living of a full life and ensuring each service user take part in a wide rage of activities while supporting each individual to be independent member of their community and society. Support each service user to make plans and choices, and to have influence over what decisions that may effect their lives and to achieve personal goals and aspirations.

My role at Gateway Children Services was support young adults who had left care setting to transition to fully independent living and supporting them in developing the skills they will require as they transition into adulthood. Other duties include establishing a positive relationship with the young people and making sure that each young person receives the best possible care and to ensure the best possible outcome and achievements are made with the young person throughout their placements. Supporting young people to develop their full potential, develop key skills that they will need in the future, develop their full potential and supporting them to grow and develop the necessary coping skills.
