Social work is my profession of calling. I attained a Bachelor of Social work Hons Degree from the University of Zimbabwe in 2016, prior to my graduation i had done internship work for the Zimbabwe prisons and correctional services (ZPCS), as an intern rehab officer, this stint bolstered my experience in counselling and mental health issues. I also did fieldwork at St Albert’s mission hospital for eight months. This was an opportunity for me to grow in areas of clinical social work, community health, pre and post test counselling, project management amongst other skills. After attaining my undergraduate degree I joined the wonderful team at Childline Zimbabwe as a volunteer. This was an amazing experience in Child protection and casework. I moved on shortly before joining the ZNA as a Social Services officer, i served in this role for 5 years. I decided to take up a different challenge and join Enable Ireland as a Social Work member of the multidisciplinary Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT5), the role i'm currently serving. I’m passionate about social work and my strengths are mainly in Disabilliity, Child protection, Advocacy, Counselling, Research and policy formulation amongst other social work related skills.
