• Conducted client interviews and case-specific investigations in preparation for cases going before the Massachusetts parole board.• Extensively prepared a client for a parole revocation hearing by gathering contacts, developing a parole plan, and researching revocation hearing procedures in Massachusetts.• Aided family members in navigating and completing documentation required for a medical parole plan.

• Compiled research and created memos addressing specific legal questions in preparation for litigation in a civil class action lawsuit, Derrick v. • Screened intake cases of currently incarcerated individuals seeking legal advice from the MA innocence program.• Created an internal database evaluating the conduct of a known “bad actor” within the Boston Police Department and the cases in which they were suspected of negatively influencing.• Fostered professional relationships with community stakeholders, including, most importantly, formerly incarcerated individuals.

• Assisted in the creation of exhibits for ongoing litigation regarding police misconduct, accountability, and Brady disclosures.• Drafted portions of memos, and provided support, for litigation related to the infringement of 8th Amendment protections for vulnerable populations.

• Developed a factual and legal record for the deaths of five Black men that occurred between the years 1930 and 1953.• Coordinated with team members to research pardon procedures of Mississippi in the context of Clyde Kennard.• Facilitated restorative justice by engaging family members and uncovering the true stories of African American victims.

Community Youth Program (CYP) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit program providing enriching after school, summer, and leadership programs for at-risk Roanoke area youth in grades 4-8. My duties include: Managing and Recruiting volunteers through Roanoke College's Center for Civic Engagement;Serving as a tutor for kids attending CYP; Mentoring and spending time with the kids of CYP

As assistant manager, duties included hiring new staff, ensuring events ran smoothly, improving work environment and settling any internal disputes. Additionally, within my four years I was able to establish an office binder which all new hires refer to during initial training as well as a handbook that will be used as a reference for the organization in times of uncertainty or new leadership.
