Provide detailed analysis and interpretation of financial statements and results, and ongoing reporting to management and Council • Develop, implement, evaluate and maintain internal financial control systems to ensure maximum efficiency and liaise with managers• Responsible for financial statement and monthly financial reports.• Cash flow forecasting and management, meeting all debt payments and maximising investment returns.• Setting budgets and reporting guidelines, coordinating the development of the annual budget, monitoring expenditure and providing regular reports on achievement of targets.• Preparing financial input for Annual Reports to ensure the accuracy and accountability of accounts and compliance with audit, accounting and legal requirements.• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions• Supervise and assist payroll and superannuation duties including the monthly reconciliation of salaries and superannuation accounts • Preparation of BAS, PAYG, LSL Returns, annual Tax Group Certificates. • Handling accounting aspects of Workers Compensation and prepare annual returns thereof• Maintain and update the records of Fixed Assets using Xero Accounting software/MYOB Asset Manager• Prepare and analyse weekly sales operations and report on any irregularities found• Participating in the development and control of short and long term financial strategies and assisting with the preparation of the Strategic Plan.• Train and develop administrative and general service staff as required

1. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:• Accounts payable including electronic transfer of creditor payments• Accounts receivable including issuing invoices and debtor payments• Payroll including processing pays, increments and fringe benefit payments for staff, keeping accurate record of staff leave and superannuation entitlements, and preparation of reportable fringe benefit figures and annual payment summaries• Entry and reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash transactions• Accuracy of GST coding and preparation of IAS and BAS statements• Asset register and calculation of depreciation, acquisitions and disposals• Preparation of monthly financial statements including end of month accruals and other relevant journals• Preparation of all working papers and supporting documentation for annual audited statements and project acquittal statements• Ensure compliance with audit, accounting, taxation and other legal requirements2. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide administrative services to Directors, including preparing reports on aspects of operations and as required.• Coordinate range of activities to progress and complete actions and operationalize decisions or directions as required by Board and Directors.• Manage and provide a reception service of a high professional standard to individuals, government and community organisations.• Manage other external and internal communications and correspondence.• Provide administrative support to operations of tenancy management system.• Ensure that policies and procedures and relevant contract and statutory requirements are met.• Ensure that OH&S and EEO requirements and Industrial Democracy Principles are met.
