I built an e-health platform, while completing my studies in biomedical engineering. The platform streamed medical diagnostic data from inexpensive, affordable IoT sensors (glucose, heart-rate monitoring, pressure, etc.) and ingested the data into a cloud based analytics environment. The Medicore platform inspired a number of my undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare projects, which included the expansion of the platform to include EEG monitoring (final year project 2013), as well as smartphone accelerometer data for fall detection in the elderly (final year project 2015). The platform was pitched to a number of startup incubators, but was ultimately discontinued due to a lack of funding and support.
