I am an Economist in the World Bank's Middle East and North Africa Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment team, where I primarily work on Algeria and Morocco. I am also a Research Associate at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies Institute of Economics.I joined the World Bank in 2022 as a Young Professional. Prior to joining the World Bank, I worked as a Senior Research Economist and Country Programme Manager at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) Centre for Tax Analysis in Developing Countries (TaxDev), at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and as a consultant for the World Bank's Jobs Group. Originally from Budapest, Hungary, I completed my undergraduate studies at Brown University and my PhD at Harvard University. My research interests are in public finance, including tax and fiscal policy and social insurance programs.
