Pitched story ideas on a weekly basis and contributed stories to the site at least three times a week. I mainly wrote features with occasional news stories.

Started off as a contributing writer covering the local music scene and eventually became the assistant diversions editor for a year. I later transitioned into news and became the assistant news editor for a semester covering news. I became the print director my last year for the summer issue of the Daily 49er by helping develop story ideas, editing stories as well as occasionally writing.

Covered an array of news, feature and editorial stories as an intern. Also contributed toward 'College Street,' a pull out section aimed toward youth.

Interned for the weekly during the summer of 2012 and contributed blog posts on the local music scene. At the end of my internship I became a freelance music journalist covering shows, featuring up-and-coming bands and interviewing prominent individuals in the arts and culture scene.
