Effectively executed a TPS gathering with 13 organizations that had never gathered before to successfully align and build relationships among them. This led to more coordination and planning of future joint strategy sessions and trainings. Created exceptional project management systems for the TPS gathering that was later shared as a model for every other MCB team member. Directly managed over 20 different cross collaboration partners, contractors and trainers in the execution of this event. Completed a Capacity Assessment Tool to be used as the blueprint for Lead Trainers in the Movement Capacity Building team to learn and assess and make training recommendations for coalitions all across the United States. Recruited, hired, and managed two trainers for the immigration program team. One to do a deep capacity assessment with the organizations in the Rio Grande Valley, and one to project manage trainings for the National TPS Alliance.

Consulting directly Executive Directors for three statewide organizations on their immigration program and strategy. Established statewide coordination and communication among immigration organizations with over 30 participants attending weekly immigration calls, and built over 200 organizers in Texas. Leading the civic engagement SB4 coalition to create a detailed plan of voter registration and education across the state. Training and coaching new groups to create strategic local advocacy immigration campaigns

Promoted to Senior staff to help plan and accomplish organizational goals through highly analytical data reports that were all met or surpassed such as: a 20,000 voter registration goal for the state for the cycle, an in-district goal of 2,500 voter registration, and to build a team two months before the election to knock on 125,000 doors. Created a brand new Latino Outreach Program for the Field Team that trained over 100 Latino volunteers to organize in underserved communities with brand new curriculum that led to a family testing model with Analyst Institute later in the year. Created highly analytical data reports that helped make key decisions of how to collect the most efficient voter registration that yielded thousands more voter registrations per staffer compared to hundreds in the past.

Promoted to design and implement the Texas Future Leadership Program, a 7 month program that enrolled 100 people of color from all across Texas to be trained and mentored once a month on how to run for public office. Implemented a plan for our team to get through close to 300 application reviews and interviews in one month. Created over 100 hours of curriculum training, trained over 300 different people in over 25 trainings.

Promoted to lead a 50 person team in the South Texas Border Region through our Get Out The Vote Efforts that knocked on over 200,000 doors over the Border Region to get out voters that led to Hidalgo County having a higher voter turnout than 2010.

Promoted to recruit and manage 8 Field Organizers and 6 Deputy Field Organizers that trained and mobilized over 1,300 people, knocked on over 40,000 doors that completed over 4,000 volunteer shifts in McAllen, Texas. Planned, executed and managed events for the Wendy Davis Campaign, such as a 400 person rally with 50 volunteers, distribution of 300 Debate tickets and a rally after the debate, and over 20 different press events in the valley. Recruited and trained over 30 bilingual organizing fellows from the Rio Grande Valley, by planning and executing the South Texas Academy - a four week training program for future field organizers. Led my peers by creating systems and resources that were utilized statewide such as a Campus Weekly Report, training schedules and programs, and occasionally leading our region in place of the Deputy Field Director.

Thrived in the fast-pace, fluid environment of a start-up organization, that was founded in March 2013. Increased pledge support from 100 people in August to over 1,000 people in Webb County. Developed a plan for the Latino Outreach Program, proposals for potential special projects to engage people in a new way as well as developed, translated and advocated for many of the Spanish language materials.

Developed 3 neighborhood teams by utilizing 10 volunteer leaders who trained and managed 100 other volunteers who knocked on 12,000 doors in four days for our Get Out The Vote Operation.

Recruited and managed the Justice for Packing Workers Campaign which included the implementation of strategies and tactics to advance the local and national campaign goals, the coordination of logistics for an ongoing class action lawsuit, and the development of sustained leadership within the AIR worker’s committee by growing it from 4 members in weekly meetings to 60 -100 members weekly that resulted in 300,000 in lost wages. All meetings were ran in Spanish. Fought and stopped 5 deportation fights, conducted 15 different Immigration/Workers “Know Your Rights Workshops”, facilitated 10 Organizing 101 workshops for volunteers. All workshops were written and spoken in Spanish only.
