As someone that grew up in a country with a socialized healthcare system, coming to the U.S. and discovering the many intricate networks that make up the American counterpart, or lack thereof. I am third-year healthcare management major at the University of Texas at Dallas and hope to continue my education with a healthcare master's degree after graduation, possibly after settling into a full-time job. I have previously interned for Mesquite ISD through the "Ready, Set, Teach!" program where I created lesson plans, assisted struggling students, and designed materials to facilitate and promote the appropriate curriculum. This experience of working with children led to my current babysitting job, where I connected with parents and provide the best care possible, and has motivated me to look for work in the healthcare field that will benefit children. I volunteer at an organization that promotes better health and relationship learning to students in junior high and high school, monitoring their chat-boxes online as the current world events have not allowed us in-person visits to the school. However, I do hold a passion for public speaking and I am looking forward to joining in on the lessons once possible again. Currently, I am looking for opportunities in management that will allow me to demonstrate and develop the skills I have gained through my education and previous work experience. I am a quick learner who strives to get hands-on, and my daily schedule usually focuses around my work as I like to structure my time around that to get the most out of the week.
