Career Advisor
•Provides a variety of workshops including Resume and Cover Letter review, professionalism, LinkedIn, Interview Preparation, and Salary Negotiation that are focused on ensuring student workforce readiness.•Provides quality 1:1 support and group career counseling that teach students about a variety of career related topics such as: Resume Writing, Cover Letters, Interview preparation, Job Search strategies, LinkedIn, and Career Exploration to develop the students’ skills.•Conducts mock interviews with students to prepare them for upcoming job opportunities.•Regularly meet with students to develop comprehensive career plans that include job search and graduate school preparation.•Provide equity-minded Career Counseling services for eight to ten students per day through Zoom, phone calls, emails and in person sessions.•Helps students understand the required hard skills and transferable skills needed for a specific job to assist them in their professional development as well as to teach them about tailoring their resume.•Develop and maintain relationships with academic departments, student organizations and Student Life departments to support whole student learning.•Collaborates with various affinity groups and teams to ensure that students are receiving high quality workshops, classroom lessons, and knowledge about campus resources.•Teach the Career Services’ career courses during the academic year and create a curriculum to improve the students’ knowledge about career/occupational development and implementation.
