Some accomplishments include the incorporation of silver into kesterite absorbers via a novel solution-phase process (patented work); optimization of proprietary sulfurization procedure to control the band gap of thin film devices, which yielded a record efficiency of >11% for indoor and variable lighting conditions.; decreased the thickness of the light absorbing material by 50%, while maintaining device efficiencies. Close collaborations with engineers and researchers from the team and other groups at IBM and other universities were key for all these accomplishments.
