As a Global Environment and Climate Change Advisor at Diakonia, I coordinate the organisation's environment and climate change work in 25 countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia and MENA. With over five years of experience in this field, I have developed and applied tools and processes for environmental management, impact assessment, climate change and resilience, and gender and conflict integration. I also provide training and technical support to staff and partner organizations, and ensure quality assurance for fundraising initiatives and project proposals. My background in forest engineering, combined with my passion for connecting people with nature, has led me to pursue additional credentials as a Professional Shinrin Yoku Guide and Instructor. Shinrin Yoku, or forest bathing, is a practice of immersing oneself in nature to enhance well-being and health. I believe this practice can also foster a deeper appreciation and respect for the environment and indigenous peoples rights, which are some of the core values and goals of my work at Diakonia. I am fluent in three languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish), and have intermediate skills in Swedish and Japanese.
