Special Education Teacher

Represent excellent work assistance in assessing students' needs, setting goals, and formulating a plan of action and program evaluation. Assist with coordinating of student services in schoolEvaluate counseling services and activitiesAssist in planning special events such as, "back to school night," and "career night."Identify student needs based on input from students, parents, and teachers.Counsel students individually using cognitive behavior, reality, and person-centered approaches, to address depression, assertiveness issues, self-esteem, and poor academic performance.Counsel students in short-term crises situations such as bullying or classroom behavior issues. Assist in weekly group counseling, Impact program, topics include but not limited to social skills, alcohol and substance abuse, and sexual identity issues. Report to the counselor about the annual goals and services of the counseling program.
