As an Architectural Intern, I worked on a variety of different tasks and jobs. I specifically was tasked in redesigning a bathroom. I additionally attended weekly construction meetings at houses, modeled and drafted various drawings, and was introduced to the San Diego Architecture Foundation and learned about their various programs in order to write grants and programs to promote the promulgation of architecture into a larger community.

I first began to film and edit studio projects and posting them on Tik Tok at the beginning of my spring semester in my first year. Encouraged by the support of 143k followers, I continue to delineate my projects, contemporaneously answering questions regarding the Architectural field and pushing myself to create thought-provoking work through the integration of colorful, contemporary, and theoretical architectural work. My TikTok channel has taught me so much about representation to an audience graphically and through videography. It has also given me so many opportunities to collaboratively work with brand sponsorships and other Architectural firms.

Building upon my previous summer's work, I went back to teaching at the Young Architects Summer Program as a Lead instructor. Because of previous experience teaching at the program, I was able to take more initiative in leading the program and spending more time actively giving presentations rather than providing assistance.I helped lead a selection of 12 Middle School and another group of 12 High School students in a summer Architecture camp based around the conventions of modernism surrounding La Jolla, California. In addition to giving design feedback, informing students about form and program, and actively communicating with aspiring architects unfamiliar to an architectural environment.Being part of the YASP team was beneficial to me because I had to explain things I had learned in the previous year in a succinct manner to my students. In addition to helping me articulate and further solidify my understanding the dialectic between notions of form and space, playing a role in planning and organizing the program opened my mind up towards education curriculums and larger organizational planning.

Starting in High School, I began to work part-time at a popular boba store next to my high school. This was my first time encountering the customer service industry, teaching me how to handle difficult customers, hour-long rushes, and how to communicate effectively with coworkers in order to yield the most efficient and smooth running store. I continue working here seasonally when I return to San Diego during winter and summer break.

I helped teach a group of 12 Middle School and another group of 12 High School students in a summer Architecture camp based around the conventions of modernism surrounding La Jolla, California. In addition to giving design 'crit' feedback, informing students about form and program, and actively communicating with children unfamiliar to an architectural environment.I worked to educate the students about the historical context of where we were located. As part of the program, we had a walking tour visiting the many fundamental buildings by Irving Gill, local to the La Jolla. My favorite part of working with the La Jolla Historical Society was its location. We were extremely fortunate to be adjacent to the newly remodeled Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (mcasd) and also house the original Venturi columns removed from the mcasd in our backyard! Working this job over the summer of my first and second year was beneficial to me because I had to explain things I had learned in the previous year in a succinct manner to my students. This condensation of vernacular helped me articulate and further solidify my understanding the dialectic between notions of form and space.
