Many internal elements, such as anxiety, fear, depression, worry, and external forces, such as illness, adversity, and loss, influence mental health.”With a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry across Kenya as a Mental Health Practitioner and Advocate, I’ve been credited with spearheading Mental health Awareness campaigns, developing national mental health standards and guidelines, and regulations for facilities providing mental health treatment and rehabilitation.As a dependable, ethical healthcare provider, I have been at the forefront of intervening during crises, facilitating groups and educational seminars, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and fostering positive relationships with patients and family members.Currently, I hold the positions of Head of the Mental health department -Kitui County Technical Assistant to the Presidential Advisor on Mental Health, and Subcommittee’s Secretariat for the National Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) program, where I’m mandated with coordinating MHPSS activities in Kenya.
