I oversee the SSE funding and capacity building elements of a large scale AFD funded project that focuses on the promotion of menstrual health and Dignity (MHD) across 9 low and middle income countries on 3 continents.The project is implemented by a consortium of 4 international NGOs:PSI-Europe, Fòs Feminista, Equipop and Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation.

As an independent consultant I devote my skills and expertise on the private sector and capacity development in African economies. Amongst others I have worked on the evaluationof the Belgian funded APEFE workplace learning support program in Rwanda.

•Supervised the Administrative Officer and the Communications Team.• Liaised with Senior Management, with other departments and with external partners, including coordination of external experts.• Provided oversight and management of the logistics and administration issues to ensure the smooth and timely management of programme resources.• Supervised the project’s communication on strategic and operational level.• Ensured timely Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) data collection, responsible for MEL data consolidation, analysis and knowledge management.• Other tasks: stakeholder management (government, partners), support the TL with the management of the team, support with strategy development & planning.• I worked independently and reported to the Team Leader.

Private sector development and capacity development were my key areas at the Embassy. As a member of a small team of professionals, amongst others I devoted my capacities to developing the multi annual country strategy, and outline programs and interventions to implement the strategy: a. Through outsourcing: assess proposals, close contracts, manage and supervise the implementation. b. By initiating interventions myself and implement these with the embassy team.Besides, I assisted the Dutch and Rwandan private sector in their trade and investment activities and actively facilitated them in benefiting from financial instruments. I also managed the education and capacity building programs, including an international scholarship scheme. I aligned policies with development partners and with the Rwandan government.

Inkomoko is a partner to micro, small and medium enterprises that seek to expand their sales and profits while also creating new jobs.• As Business Development Manager I explored business opportunities with Inkomoko clients and helped them beat financial, strategic and operational challenges.• I also served as sparring partner to Rwandan private sector development policy makers to improve the business and investment climate in Rwanda

Worked together with YALI RLC East Africa Communications Manager, to develop and implement communications for the Chapter, including management of country-based webpages as part of the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa website, posting on social media about local activities and initiatives, and overseeing outreach messaging. Maintained record of attendance at all Executive Committee and general meetings.

• EMSA Emerging Markets Africa is a Netherlands based Management Consulting Firm specialized in structuring and implementing private sector impact investment projects in Africa. • I worked as freelance country consultant for EMSA in private sector development and project implementation. I worked for EMSA on a part time basis, based in Kigali, Rwanda. • I provided professional advice and services to profit and not for profit on my core areas of expertise; private sector and business development, market and value chain analyses, financing and project implementation.
