Highly Productive | Team Leader | Project Manager I retired from my office job in IT support to chase my passion of working with cannabis. I interned at 420 Radio News, a cannabis radio new podcast in 2014 intending on connecting with industry leaders and finding a job. However, I took a volunteer opportunity with Denver NORML during a citizen-led ballot initiative. I dove head first into campaign life: organizing volunteer training, collecting and notarizing signature packets, maximizing presence at events, and working with local agencies like Denver Elections. My campaign work secured me a spot on the board as Deputy Director for three years preparing monthly member meetings, planning fundraisers, and recruiting new members at events. This opportunity empowered me to flourish as an advocate and earn a feature in High Times Magazine as Freedom Fighter of the Month. In 2017 I resigned from the board to pursue a paid offer from Primal Therapeutics to do mobile cannabis massage. I was always interested in massage but never took it seriously until I learned I could combine it with something I love like cannabis and eventually make a career of it. I completed the 750-hour Licensed Massage Therapy program at Denver School of Massage Therapy in 2017. I now work full time as the COO of Primal Therapeutics leading a team of therapists who travel to see patients all over Colorado. We created a seasonal event series called "In Bliss" where attendees experience a cannabis friendly spa day to showcase the healing power of plant medicine from face to feet. During school, I took a part time role doing patient vitals and working with medical marijuana doctors and physicians at Healthy Choices Unlimited. Today, I continue to see cannabis patients as a Cannabis Clinician and have a core role in producing the biennial conference Marijuana for Medical Professionals in Denver, CO. While I waited for the state to issue my massage therapy license, I took a gig managing the street promotions team for the Indo Expo Trade Show during production of the Denver 2018 show. I successfully recruited and managed a team of eight contractors responsible for filling the floor with attendees. Our efforts resulted in their first at-capacity show with a 400% increase in attendance. Needless to say, they asked me to stay as a contractor for the following shows in California and Oregon. I now manage all social media profiles and a small crew of street promoters in target territories.
