Meets with offenders to gather information about background, interests and abilities and for appropriate programming and orientation to facility. Obtains and reviews pertinent records/reports on newly assigned offenders. Prepares case analyses, recommending educational programming, vocational training or work programs to the program committee. Ancillary activities include attending the parole board monthly and completing all required paperwork, writing ISR's, offender sign outs, preparing and submitting community preps, Periodically, conduct a portion of the basic orientation for groups of new offenders. Collaborate with criminal justice agencies to ensure successful reentry into community. Previous responsibility of overseeing a Parole Diversion Program which involved supervising a special housing unit of 48, addressing maladaptive behaviors that could lead to re-incarceration; also responsible for the supervision of two program aides.

Provide and oversee clinical services to clients, including clinical assessment/screenings and group facilitation. Assure timely completion and documentation for all clinical services provided by staff. Oversee and supervise admission of and movement of clients through phases of treatment in conjunction with Clinical Counselors and other departments. Maintain a client tracking system and data collection system for reporting to regulatory agency to ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory standards. Supervise staff and daily operations of the program; implementing program design and content, policies and procedures in accordance with statutes and being in contract compliance. Monitor and guide the training of all Clinical Counselors, including philosophy and mission. Manage all high-risk clinical issues to insure appropriate outcomes. Provide all required monthly, semi-annual and annual reports to supervising Director and OASAS in a timely and professional manner. Establish and maintain collaborative positive working relationship with in-house waiver service providers, funding sources, community substance abuse providers and human service agencies, as well as the community-at-large.
