For me: life is all about learning, growing, and helping others do the same. I have been curious and passionate about nature for as long as I can remember and have started to build my educational and professional career around protecting it. As a 1st generation American-Brazilian, I also strongly believe in working to address systemic issues that lead to environmental injustices. In my free time, I volunteer for local community groups and/or travel. My favorite environmental topics to dive into right now are visualizing climate impacts through mapping and herpetology. In addition to my ecology-based interests, I am a classically trained pianist and have occasionally played in churches in Newark, NJ for over a decade.
