-Assisted Latino/a middle school students in a afterschool program at Kelly Middle School in Eugene Oregon-Tutored with Math, Social Studies, Geography, Science and Chicano history -Empower them to be proud of themselves and their culture

-Maintained top priority of workshop safety and cleanliness -Monitored student's safety -Assisted and advised students with machinery and laser cutter-Responsible for opening and shutting down the workshop

-Student teacher for a comprehensive, year-round, child-care program serving children eight weeks through eleven years of age -Promoted to Student Assistant within one year-Promoted from Student Assistant to Student Teacher within nine months-Supervised 3 – 4 student teachers per classroom session (15 -20 children per classroom)-Supervised classroom of 12 children when Head Teacher was unavailable-Provided quality child care as a positive role model with a research-based curriculum-Empowered children to be self-directed by closely observing and facilitating interaction with the curriculum and among peers-Emphasized and nurtured students’ interests in literacy, math and science and developing social knowledge
