Quartz- Strategic Risk Management Platform using the state-of-the-art infrastructure- The basic objective is to have the code and the application in the same platform and should be easily accessible and modifiable by the traders and the developers- The database used is named as “Sandra” which has been developed by taking the features of Cassandra (Facebook), Bigtable (Google), SimpleDb (Amazon)- All the applications in Bank Of America are going to be moved on to this system.

ICAROS- Icaros is one of the major applications used by the traders in Bank of America who are involved in Short Term Interest Rate Trading (STIRT). This application calculates and reports all kinds of risk, P&Ls and cashflows along with the predicted risk associated with the trades which are fed in through different source systems in different format. This involves handling all kinds of financial products like swaps (Fixed Float, Basis Cross Currency etc), Options, Futures, Forwards, Bonds etc. - Server was developed in Java along with Spring framework- Client was made by using Eclipse RCP (Swing)- Gigaspaces was used to store all the data after the trades are fetched and priced.Project: Risk Viewer 2- This is a cross product technology similar to the previous project Icaros and is a legacy Merrill Lynch system. It uses SpreadSheetGear and PivotGrid to show the reports in an excel like format- Several Start of Day, Intraday and End of Day processes are run parallely to fetch the trades, price them and put the values into the database.- The server running in Java using Jetty- The server communicates with the Database (Oracle) to retrieve all information using sql queries. - The client is developed in .Net (Win forms), and communicates with the server by sending the requests in the form of xmls. - The functionalities and the business delivered in this application is same as Icaros.
