• Technical guidance and advice on bio digester promotion and roll-out via results-based financing mechanisms;• Coordination of partner companies and training of masons on operations & maintenance of bio digesters;• Capacity development of the broader renewable energy sector via industry associations by positioning bio digesters and solar-powered solutions for productive uses of energy;• Quality assurance of bio digester installations through monitoring during and after construction; database management and planning and implementation of after-sales service visits together with field officers;• Coordination of awareness raising campaigns for bio digesters via rural energy hubs;• Design, procurement and installation of pilots for solar-powered productive uses of energy;• Day to day support to the project team in implementing the bio digester component and monitoring of results (in collaboration with M&E team);• Working closely with communications expert and Sector Lead on knowledge products development such as case studies, blogposts, evaluation and progress reports;• Representation of SNV, networking and business development within the sector as required.

• Providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Energy in the Development of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) for Zambia.• Providing expert guidance in relation to the design, construction and implementation of renewable energy solutions and similar areas of technology• Undertaking detailed modelling of potential power supply solutions for farm blocks using sources of renewable energy as well as grid supply and thermal sources to determine the most effective solution using a multi-criteria assessment to be developed with the client• Supporting various projects with the Zambian power utility company (ZESCO) in capacity development, performance improvement and resource mobilisation• Documenting theory of change for agreed areas of intervention and assisting in the preparation of detailed terms of reference for approval by CIGZambia / FCDO, including estimated budget and resourcing

Worked on the Increased Access to Electricity and Renewable Energy Production (IAEREP) where Seven (7) Feasibility Studies were done for Project demonstrate projects. My roles and responsibilities included:• Power Output Estimation: Using appropriate software estimate power/energy output for each solar mini-grid site• Site characteristics and constraints: Survey locations for sitting PV power plants. This includes checking orientation, slope, and potential shading issues• Assessment of Logistic Constraints: Equipment shipping, commissioning, and operations constraints• Prioritisation and Sites Recommendation• Investigate Demand Side Management options (use of energy saving devices, load limiting devices and consumer education so that energy inputs are minimized and cost savings maximized. This can be carried out with sensitivity to the consumer needs whilst preventing energy wastage and excess consumption• Assessment of willingness to pay. The consumers’ ability and willingness to pay for electricity will be assessed to consider the most adequate tariff structure and business model• Assessment of type of installations that best respond to the demands and land availability• Meet with involved stakeholders including Local authorities, utility representatives and local associations: Discuss power grid issues, development plans and other aspects relevant to the energy consumption of the sites• Development of a Scale-up plan
