As a firefighter/paramedic with the city of Hoover, I work under direct supervision of my superior officer. My job requires me to respond to various emergency situations and perform various tasks. On fire scenes my responsibilities include search and rescue, fire control and extinguishment, and property preservation. On medical scenes my responsibilities are to provide advanced life support to those in need. Along with responding on medical calls, I am required to participate in all training activities, maintain and care for all fire department property, and ensure accurate reporting of medical and fire call reports.

Birmingham, Alabama Area

At Magic City Woodworks we teach young men the art of work. We are a social impact company designed to help young men bridge the intimidating gap between unemployment and meaningful employment. My sole responsibility is investing in the lives of the young men that work at Magic City Woodworks. To teach them that work is not a mundane task, but a meaningful gift from God. I function as an instructor over our metal shop and sawmill yard. I also function as the maintenance supervisor and maintain shop equipment as well as the facilities.
