Twenty years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams to solve complex health systems, care delivery, digital and public health challenges.Dr. Pritesh Gandhi is a cross-sector physician leader with operational experience across private, federal, and nonprofit sectors having served as Chief Community Health Officer and P&L leader at the nation’s largest company, Chief Medical Officer of the United States Department of Homeland Security, and Associate Chief Medical Officer at a non-profit community health center. In these roles he has been trusted to solve intractable healthcare challenges by driving innovation in primary care & digital health delivery, transforming health systems, strengthening health security, and advancing value-based care and social determinants of health on a national and global scale. Most recently, he served as Chief Community Health Officer at Walmart, where he worked to improve health outcomes for rural and urban Medicaid, underinsured, and uninsured populations. Previously, he served as the Chief Medical Officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he led the Department's medical response to multiple national public health and health security emergencies. He served on the President’s COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force, is Affiliate Faculty at the University of Texas Dell Medical School, and is a Fulbright Scholar, National Health Service Corps Scholar, and Presidential Leadership Scholar. His honors include the Secretary’s Exceptional Service Gold Medal, Homeland Security’s highest award for service. Dr. Gandhi advises digital health, public health, clinical, and health security entities on a broad array on issues. He is a board-certified physician who is trained in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Public Health.
