I assess elementary and middle school students for their reading skill levels and help them strengthen their literacy skills through the direct instruction method. I also train other remediation instructors, schedule and organize class curriculums, and assist English and Language Arts teachers with grading and other administrative duties.

Feminist Formations cultivates a forum where feminists from around the world articulate research, theory, activism, teaching, and learning, thereby showcasing new feminist formations. An interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal, we publish innovative work by scholars, activists, artists, poets and practitioners in feminist, gender, and sexuality studies. Our subject matter includes national, global, and transnational feminist thought and practice; the cultural and social politics of genders and sexualities; and historical and contemporary studies of gendered experience. The journal values established and emerging lines of inquiry and methods that engage the complexities of gender as implicated in forms of power such as race, ethnicity, class, nation, migration, ability, and religion.As the Editorial Intern, I work closely and personally with the Managing Editor, fact-checking manuscripts and performing initial edits. I also assist the Managing Editor in making copy edits and formatting changes on full-length issues at various stages in the publication process. In addition to my editorial responsibilities, I design necessary flyers and documents for launch events, manage the journal's social media presence, and attend meetings with editorial board members and the journal's marketing team at Johns Hopkins University Press.

I helped students construct essays and learn writing strategies to boost their academic performance. I mostly worked with underclassmen and ESL (English and Second Language) students, but I often tutored graduate students as well. I am College Reading and Learning Association-certified at Level 3, the highest level, which means that I also trained newer, less experienced tutors, facilitated meetings, and assisted with basic administrative tasks.
