While waiting to be enrolled in a local university after graduation, I was looking to gain experience in working with older children. As my first step towards my goal of becoming a youth counsellor, I joined Big Heart Student Care as an Ad-hoc assistant student care officer. Through this job opportunity, I was able to work and interact with primary school.

During my final year at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I was attached to Sarada Kindergarten for my 6 month internship. I was assigned to the K2 class ( 5 to 6 years old) and tasked to plan and implement 10 lessons, create a take home activity and design teaching aids as well as learning centre materials. I also assisted with classroom management, routine care.

My role as an activity crew includes facilitating sports related activities manning activity stations, handling transaction and interacting with guests of all ages. I also check and clean my designated activity areas so that it is safe and presentable for public use. Working at Superpark has provided me with opportunities to interact with guests, resolve.

During my second year at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I was attached to MYworld Bishan for my 1 month practicum. I was assigned to the K1 class ( 4 to 5 years old), but I extended my help to the other classes when needed. In this one month, I was tasked to plan and implement 3 lessons; art, music and numeracy. I also assisted my host teacher in routine care.

Working as a Zupervisor (activity crew) at Kidzania Singapore, was my first job experience. My jobscope required me to do role playing activities with children and youth aged 4 to 18 years old. I would take on the role of a manager at establishments such as AIA, 7-Eleven and Peranakan Museum and children would take on the role of employees at these.
