My role included:1) Preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation for entities around the globe with emphasis on Asia Pacific, Latin America and North America.This involves undertaking a holistic review of the inter-company transactions, undertaking detailed benchmarking analysis for global/regional intra-group transactions including marketing intangibles, management charges, royalty and many more, analyzing agreements relating to transfer of intellectual property rights, financing arrangements with use of complex pricing methodologies to derive the arm's length price and help foreign clients in Local transfer pricing documentation from the lens of their Regional Tax Legislation2) Undertaking a qualitative analysis of the client's group master file report and summarize the contents therein for ensuring compliance from a Local and Global perspective3) Assisting MNE’s with litigation redressal management (Strategy, Management & Support)Worked on several high-stake litigation cases of transfer pricing controversy by helping them defend their transfer pricing policies before the Indian tax authorities, which involves preparation of technical submissions, representation before the High Court, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Dispute Resolution Panel, Commissioner of Income Tax and researching on various legal jurisprudence on the subject matter at dispute and exploring various dispute resolution channels.4) Consulting MNE’s on various other transfer pricing and international taxation issues5) Helping clients with end-to-end APA resolution, commencing from formulating strategies for clients, undertaking discussions with tax authorities, filing of APA application, and concluding with post APA compliance procedures6) Identifying business development opportunities for the Transfer Pricing practice, by analyzing key pursuits across various industries and aided in preparing pitch presentations
