Materials Management Assistant - Band 3
CurrentProvide a professional, customer-focused Materials Management service to all user departments. Maintain and update online catalogues, produce barcodes for replenished products, and implement barcode amendments promptly. Collaborate with senior and clinical colleagues to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Assist with stock level reviews of Materials Management products at the department level and run supporting reports. Conduct competency training with the Materials Management team on system operations and requirements. Support the rationalization and standardization of medical and surgical products. Assist customers with product changes or shortages. Facilitate high urgency product recalls following safety alerts. Manage the removal, return, or disposal of excess or redundant stock. Maintain accurate electronic records and filing systems, supporting other related duties. Ensure effective communication within the Materials Management team, share best practices, and participate as a member of the Central Procurement team. Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and key customers, ensuring high standards of customer care.
