Michael Franks is an Executive Managing Director at Citizens Private Bank, where he leads the Alternative Asset Banking Group – a dedicated and experienced team, focused on meeting the comprehensive needs of private equity and venture capital clients, including financial services for funds, firm employees, and their portfolio companies. Mike and his team provide all-around support for individuals and firms within the PE/VC ecosystem, including wealth management and financial planning, backed by Citizens’ investment and capital market groups. Mike brings over 13 years of expertise from his tenure at First Republic Bank, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and growing the fund banking practice. As the Regional Managing Director for the Silicon Valley region, he managed one of the largest and most dynamic banking territories outside of San Francisco.Prior to First Republic Bank, Mike led Silicon Valley Bank's fund banking practice on the West Coast for over nine years. There, he was instrumental in launching a private equity and venture capital CFO conference, a tradition he continues at Citizens Private Bank.In addition to his professional role, Mike serves as the Executive Chapter Director for the Private Equity CFO Association on the West Coast. He facilitates networking and knowledge-sharing among over 1,700 members, fostering connections and providing valuable content to the private equity and venture capital community.
