I am a dedicated researcher in the field of biotechnology, specializing in molecular biology. My expertise spans a range of molecular techniques, including prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA extraction, quantification, primer design, and gene sequencing using Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. I am proficient in bioinformatic analysis, utilizing software such as Geneious Prime, MinKNOW, and tools like SPAdes, Canu, and Bandage for NGS data analysis. My experience also extends to utilizing bioinformatic platforms like Galaxy Project.Having attended numerous workshops conducted by esteemed organizations such as Bioclues, Nextgen Helper, and Nybermanbioinfo, I am well-versed in the latest advancements in the field. Currently, I am engaged in a fascinating project on mosquito biodiversity, funded by STARS IISC. This project has equipped me with valuable skills in sampling techniques and entomological practices, enabling me to identify mosquito species and understand their biology.In addition to my current focus on mosquito research, I have a strong background in microbiology. My previous work involved studying probiotic bacteria from fermented foods, exploring microflora in dairy products, and isolating and identifying bacteria strains. During my M.Sc., I designed and worked on a project titled "Isolation and Identification of Bacteriocin from Escherichia coli and to assess its preservative effects on food."In summary, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, insect biology, and bioinformatics to any project or team.
