Hi, Priya here, a HR professional and a psychology enthusiast!I have always loved interacting with and listening to people. However, it was only when I started pursuing psychology as my major during under-graduation, I came to know about the underlying theories and plausible reasons behind people's behaviour. I, especially, was curious about how various psychological theories and phenomena can be applied to people at work, and that led me to choose HR as my post-graduation degree.During the final semester of MBA, I started working as an intern (later, HR consultant) at Artifex HR, a HR consulting firm that helps growing companies with staffing and hire-to-retire solutions. Since then, I have worked with 3 different clients from various industries from IT to Healthcare, helping them set up their HR division.Now I work in Goldman Sachs, an investment banking firm, which is in the process of re-structuring its HR function. Here, I am involved in the offer and onboarding process of Americas.Creating policies and processes is close to my heart since that involves a lot of research and creativity. Apart from this, onboarding (virtual/ actual), employee engagement, payroll, performance management and exit process are a few things that pique my interest.
