The post-COVID era brought new perspectives and the drive for diversification.Together with Siddhartha Gupta, we identified a critical gap in the Indian pharmaceutical industry: the heavy reliance on imported intermediates for bulk drug and API manufacturing.This insight led to the founding of PYG Lifesciences formerly known as PY Genrone Intermediates PVT LTD (PYGIPL) in 2021, a venture aligned with Prime Minister Modi's vision of "Atmanirbhar Bharat."At PYG, my role as Director of Business Development and Marketing is more than a title; it's a commitment to transforming the Indian chemical landscape.Our mission is to empower Indian businesses by delivering high-quality intermediates and specialty chemicals, thereby contributing to the nation’s self-reliance. Our state-of-the-art pilot plant and R&D center in Gujarat are central to our innovation efforts, enabling us to develop cutting-edge solutions across various therapeutic areas.Meeting new customers and making them aware of our capabilities is one of my primary interests.
