I am a hospital pharmacy technician and I get the opportunity to fill unit doses for patients, communicate with nurses and pharmacists, compound IVs, and learn a great deal about the use and function of different medications pertaining to a hospital environment. I am able to learn the brands and generics of medications and become overall well rounded for my continuing years as a pharmacy student.

I lead study groups for Calculus 1 and facilitate deeper level discussions/thinking in relation to the course content. I create a study plans and group activities to help my students grow and succeed in the subject area. Along with this, I apply questioning and teaching skills that I learn in the Pedagogy of Peer-Led Learning in every study group to ensure that I am creating a safe learning environment.

I taught students ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade in areas of math and literature. I would problem solve with them and guide them in a positive direction with independent learning, timed learning, and learning with me. I answered their questions when they were confused and addressed their concerns out of the center in terms of school work. It helped me better understand that not everyone learns at the same capacity and every student is unique.
